Cemetary

This is the cemetary I pass often on my job. It was fog outside, early spring/late winter. I got to think about my favourite movie, Return of the living dead from 1985, which happens to be the year I was born.

I didn't do much to it, just made it a bit lighter with levels. It was actually taken with my cellphone cam so that's why it's so bad quality (I have a dumbphone).

Rabbit

Me, my sister and her boyfriend were at the Merian Gärten in south of Basel, Switzerland the other day. They had many lovely flowers, trees and some animals! This is a cute little buddy I was lucky to catch on camera. It's a rabbit mother with her rabbit children.

I only changed the curves in Photoshop slightly to correct a bit of overexposure.

Dress

For my niece's fifth birthday I bought her a dress at the shop Under at Tjärhovsgatan, Stockholm. My cousin owns the place so I could get a little discount. I think the dress is an artwork in it self.

Here is a close-up of the pattern itself. Beautiful, isn't it?

Gerald Steffe

This weekend I was at an art exhibition with Gerald Steffe. It was at Edsvik konsthall, in Sollentuna.
It was a funny coincidence that brought me there. Gerald Steffe was one of my art teachers at Långholmens Folkhögskola 5 years ago. Then it turned out that my friend is friends with him. So my friend brought me there and I got to meet Gerald again after suck long time! It was great. I really love his art. It's really inspiring. Here is one of the pieces that I depicted.

I think the creature is called "little Taurus". One of my favorites.

Amy

So this one I made about six months after Amy Winehouse passed away. It was a big shock when I read about it in the papers. I always thought she would get a grip and manifest the beauty she was. So this portrait I made with much love and sorrow, because she means so much to me.

I used organza with a little piece of sewing thread to make the butterflies. The head is a supermagnified bubble I took from Internet. The ear ring is cut out in gold and the eye lashes is cut out from colored paper. The rest is made with Tombow Dual Brush Pencils.

Mooning

It was such a beautiful full moon outside. I stopped at this great view of the water, trees and the moon. It´s taken on Långholmen in Stockholm.

I Photoshopped it quite a lot and played around with the levels, color balance, photo filter and hue/saturation. This was the result. The original picture kind of looked like this, but much more pale. I really like the results!

Trash

This was a beautifully trashed trashcan that I depicted just beside the South train station (Södra station) in Stockholm. Someone had apparently run over it with a truck or a car. It's so damaged. Still, people continued to throw trash in it. It stayed this way for almost 4 months, I think. I managed to take a picture of it just before it was replaced. Guess I had a gut feeling it was gonna be removed.

I had to photoshop it a bit (only levels and exposure), because it was quite dark when I took the pic and also it was taken with my phone camera. I don't have a smart phone. I sometimes like the challenge with low quality pictures and to discover how to make them work, in Photoshop.

Dragons

This was another go I had at a tattoo. This one I might actually make, with a few changes. Maybe less color or so. Enjoy!

What is love?

This artwork was inspired by a piece of art in a café. It's just so painful because it makes it so obvious how separated I sometimes am from others and from love.

In search of love I am searching only for myself. Cuz it is only myself I can truly love and care for.

Tulip(s)

Didn't know what to draw this time, just wanted to make soft moves with the pencil. Oh, by the way, I use Tombows´ Dual Brush Pen. They have hundreds of colors and it's really easy to mix them together using a plate and water and a brush. Here's what they look like:

They're so much fun! I first discovered them in Switzerland in one of their IKEA-like art-shops, called Boesner. In Stockholm they're only available online. I have now about 20 colors. Some of them are going faint so next time in Switzerland I'm gonna stack up!

Dragon

This I originally did as an idea for a tattoo. However, when it was finished, I realized it wouldn't work as a tattoo. I liked anyway though!
Inspired by dragon pics on the web in search for the perfect dragon. Still looking! Don't tell my mother ;)
